TI/TOL 2D is a Computer-Aided Tolerancing System designed for Pro/ENGINEER. The TI/TOL 2D modeler is an interactive graphics application program which serves as a CAD preprocessor to the TI/TOL 2D analyzer. Using menus and functions appended to Pro/ENGINEER, the designer graphically creates a 2-D engineering model of a mechanical assembly which is overlaid on its corresponding Pro/E model. Two-dimensional tolerance stack relationships and critical assembly dimensions are defined, and the required dimensional data is extracted directly from the CAD database. The TI/TOL 2D analyzer may then be accessed to perform interactive tolerance analysis and allocation.
