ADCATS Case Study: Angular Variation in a Cellular Phone Alan Mortensen, Brigham Young University
This case study performed by the ADCATS research group at BYU analyzes the effects of part and assembly tolerances on the skew between an LCD display and bordering artwork on the lens of a cellular phone. A step through of the methodology used is presented, along with statistical results in RSS and Six Sigma format. Of special interest is the treatment of a 2-pin/ 2-hole joint, and the use of the CATS 1-D XL solver to verify results. Bio |
