Novel Applications of Variational Analysis at Kodak
Tom Albrecht, The Eastman Kodak Company Eastman Kodak Company has been involved in developing software to
increase robustness of mechanical assemblies for over 30 years.
During this timeframe, this internally developed technology has
been used by specialists to model numerous mechanical designs, such as,
cameras, copiers, printers, and many others. The system has enabled
Kodak’s analysts to solve many sophisticated design problems in a cost
efficient and timely fashion. This talk will describe several novel examples in which Kodak’s
variation analysis software was applied to generate a significant increase
in product robustness. The key capabilities will be described that make
this technology both versatile and cost effective. Bio
